Millington City Hall and administrative offices will remain closed Wednesday, January 28, 2026 due to hazardous road conditions.
Trash pickup is also canceled for the same reason. Service will resume once conditions are safe for employees and equipment, with updates shared here and on our social media accounts.
Roads across Millington remain icy and dangerous. Our Public Works teams have been working overtime since the start of this event, alongside Shelby County Government and TDOT, to plow and treat priority routes and maintain access for emergency vehicles. Despite their hard work and the few hours of sunshine, continued cold temperatures and refreezing mean conditions vary widely by location, and in some areas it may look like roads haven’t been treated even when they have.
We strongly encourage everyone to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary. Your consideration helps keep roads clear and calls down so that our Millington Police Department and Millington Fire Department teams can respond when needs arise.
