The City of Millington, Shelby County, TN Engineering Department, in accordance with National Flood Insurance Program regulation 65.7(b)(1), hereby gives notice of the City of Millington’s intent to revise the flood hazard information, generally located between US Highway 51 and Sledge Road. Specifically, the flood hazard information shall be revised along the Big Creek Drainage Canal from a point approximately from the crossing of US Hwy 51 at FEMA Cross Section K to a point approximately one mile upstream of the confluence at FEMA Cross Section X.
As a result of the revision, the floodway boundaries for the Big Creek Drainage Canal, North Fork Creek, Royster Creek and Casper Creek have been revised. The 1% annual chance water-surface elevations shall be revised throughout the studied stream reach of each flooding source. The 1% annual chance floodplain shall be modified within the area of revision to reflect more accurate topographic data.
