FLAG CITY FREEDOM CELEBRATION - An Independence Day Spectacular!
MILLINGTON, TN (JUNE 29, 2015) - The City of Millington and Naval Support Activity Mid-South are partnering to celebrate our country's birthday with a BANG! Residents from all over the Mid-South will come together at Navy Lake for great live music, concessions, kids’ activities, and the finest fireworks show in the Mid-South – THE FLAG CITY FREEDOM CELEBRATION! This annual event is expected to attract 30,000 spectators including over 5,000 military personnel and their families.
The Flag City Freedom Celebration is presented by the City of Millington and NSA Mid-South and sponsored by HNA Engineering, Republic Services, Homer Skelton Ford, Homer Skelton Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Clear Channel / Rock 103, USAA, US Foods, Hicks Convention Services, Malco Theatres, Samuel Adams, Swift Transportation, Ritter Communications, Patriot Bank and more.
This event holds a special place in the hearts of Military families and the entire Millington community. You are invited to join in the fun! Bring your lawn chairs, picnic baskets and blankets and enjoy the kids’ activities, music from “Faithfully Journey Tribute Band,” great food and the most incredible, jaw-dropping Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular at sundown.
The event will take place on July 3, 2015 at Navy Lake in Millington. Gates will open at 5:00 PM. The event is open to the public and there will be a $5 gate fee per vehicle. For more information, call (901) 874-5733.
