AIRSHOW RETURNS TO MILLINGTON OCTOBER 18 & 19 - Veteran's Parkway to be closed during Airshow
MILLINGTON, TN (October 2, 2014) - The Memphis Airshow featuring the Blue Angels returns to the Millington Regional Jetport on October 18 & 19. The two day air show is packed with over 15 aerial performers including the 101st Airborne Jump Team, C-130 Hercules ‘Fat Albert’, and local daredevil favorite, Skip Stewart.
Due to the close proximity of Veteran’s Parkway to the air demonstration area, Veteran’s Parkway between Highway 51 and Navy Road will be closed to all traffic and spectator viewing. Veteran's Parkway will be reopened after the completion of the day’s events for exiting.
Veteran’s Parkway between Raleigh-Millington and Navy Rd. will remain open throughout the air show. This year’s traffic plan has been revised to provide quicker access to spectator parking. Signage and law enforcement will be posted at several locations coming into Millington.
