FAMILY FUN DAY PLANNED FOR THE OPENING OF THE MILLINGTON FARMERS' MARKET
MILLINGTON, TENNESSEE (February 28, 2014) - The Millington Farmers' Market opens the season Saturday, May 3 with Family Fun Day. In addition to the freshest local produce, there will be bluegrass picking, a gardening seminar, kite flying, horseshoe and corn hole tournaments. Pack a picnic and bring the family to enjoy the morning at the market.
The mission of the Millington Farmers' Market is to promote a green lifestyle, economic opportunities for local growers and a dynamic destination in Old Town by connecting local growers with the community in a marketplace of fresh, local agricultural products. The Millington Farmers' Market is open every Saturday from May through October from 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM and hosts a variety of programming including blue grass pickin', gardening seminars, arts and crafts for the kids and more.
