The Millington Board of Aldermen appointed Linda Carter to serve as Interim Mayor of the City at a special called meeting this afternoon. Mayor Carter served for years on the Board of Aldermen. She will serve the citizens in this position for the remainder of former Mayor Richard Hodges' term of office.
