The City of Millington Aldermen are considering a new City election date as a cost savings measure. If approved, the City wide elections will change from the last Tuesday in September to the date of the County election in August. This could go into effect for the 2012 election. For those considering running for office, this will change the dates you may file to be considered for a position.
The Board of Aldermen will hold a Special Called Meeting on January 13, 2012 at 4:00 PM at City Hall to nominate and select an interim Mayor to serve until December 31, 2012.
