11TH ANNUAL TURTLE ISLAND NATIVE AMERICAN POW-WOW AT USA STADIUM MAY 7 & 8

MILLINGTON, TN (April 29, 2016) – The City of Millington is pleased to welcome back the 11th Annual Turtle Island Native American Association Pow-Wow to USA Stadium on May 7 & 8, 2016. Organized by Hal Colston, the Pow-Wow is a culturally rich experience for the whole family. Pow-Wows are traditionally a time of celebration when Native American people join together in dancing, singing, visiting, renewing old friendships, and making new ones. It is an important event to celebrate and renew Native American culture and preserve the rich heritage of American Indians.

The Millington Pow-Wow will feature authentic Native American Art vendors, craft demonstrations, Aztec dancers, singing, great food, fun and more. Author John T. Wayne, grandson of America's beloved actor, John Wayne, will be on hand to sign autographs and visit with festival attendees. The Pow-Wow gates are open from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday. Admission price for adults is $5; for ages 6-14 and 65 and older the admission price is $2; Family admission price is $10 and any military person in uniform is admitted free.
