FLAG CITY TO HONOR VETERANS NOVEMBER 14, 2015
MILLINGTON, TN (October 22, 2015) – The City of Millington, also known as Flag City, will host a parade on Saturday, November 14, 2015 to honor all veterans for their service to this Country. The parade will begin promptly at 10:30 AM and will travel along Navy Road between Newport and C Streets. All veterans are invited to participate as well as any individuals, school groups, bands, civic groups and organizations wishing to honor the heroes among us. All parade participants MUST pre-register by November 1, 2015. Registration forms are available at the Baker Community Center and on line at www.millingtontn.gov/calendar.aspx?eid=4151.
VFW Post 7175 is hosting a community cookout at the VFW located at 4681 Cuba-Millington Road in Millington immediately following the parade. Everyone is welcome. The military has always played an integral role in the history of Millington and a large percentage of the Millington population are retired military and their families. Please make plans to join Flag City on November 14 in thanking the heroes among us for their service.
