MILLINGTON AWARDED $240,000.00 CLEAN TENNESSEE ENERGY GRANT
MILLINGTON, TN (October 2, 2015) – The City of Millington, with assistance from the Memphis Area Association of Governments and Energy Systems Group (ESG), was awarded a Clean Tennessee Energy Grant for HVAC and lighting improvements at the Millington Police / Municipal Court Building. Only two such grants were awarded in Shelby County. The City of Millington received $240,000.00 out of a maximum grant amount of $250,000.00. The City will provide a $240,000.00 match and will quickly begin the needed improvements. The grant was accepted by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen on August 10, 2015.
