PLAYHOUSE 51 KICKS OFF 12TH SEASON WITH VINTAGE HITCHCOCK: A LIVE RADIO PLAY AT THE HARVELL CIVIC CENTER

(MILLINGTON, TENNESSEE – SEPTEMBER 22, 2015) Originally scheduled for June of this year but postponed due to technical problems with air conditioning, Playhouse 51 in Millington opens its 12th theatrical season with Vintage Hitchcock: A Live Radio Play by Joe Landry. Performances are 7:30 p.m. September 18, 19, 25 and 26 and September 20 and 27 at 2:00 p.m. at Harvell Civic Center, 8077 Wilkinsville Road. The show is sponsored by Ritter Communications and produced by special arrangement with Playscripts, Inc. in association with Millington Arts, Recreation and Parks Department.

Vintage Hitchcock, directed by Jane Lester and Jim Cacy, is set in a 1940's live broadcast studio and includes dramatizations of three early Hitchcock films: The Lodger, Sabotage, and The 39 Steps. This is Hitchcock before he came to America but already the master of his game. The triple feature is complete with vintage commercials, the magic and fun of live sound effects, and musical underscoring that create an evening of spine-tingling suspense, terror, romance, and humor.

Tickets are available at the door for $12 for adults and $10 for students, seniors, and military. For more information, visit www.playhouse 51.com, join us on Facebook, or call 872-7170.
