  • Protects 11,500 citizens living within the corporate limits encompassing an area of 33 square miles and 5,700 citizens living within Shelby County encompassing an area of 29 square miles.
  • Operates out of two stations that proudly protect a combination of residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural areas.          
  • Personnel completes nearly 5,000 hours of training per year
  • Insurance Service Office (ISO) rating of 3. 

Mission

The mission of the Millington Fire Department is the protection of life and property from the adverse effects of fires, medical emergencies, or exposure to dangerous conditions through fire suppression, rescue, disaster preparedness, fire prevention, and community education. The members of this department, working together, will provide a professional and caring environment that is fair, honest, and ethical, and that treats all individuals with respect and dignity.
