LEGAL NOTICE TO BIDDERS
CITY BID #2021-5: RALEIGH MILLINGTON & THORNHILL ESTATES OUTFALL SEWER
CITY OF MILLINGTON, TENNESSEE
The City of Millington, Tennessee solicits Sealed Bid #2021-5 for the Raleigh Millington & Thornhill Estates Sewer Outfall project in Millington, Tennessee. Bids will be received at 7930 Nelson Road, Millington, TN 38053, until 10:00 AM local time on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, and opened immediately thereafter.
The Base Bid work consists generally of furnishing and installing roughly 7,200 linear feet of 10” to 24” sewer pipe, 26 manholes, 18” to 36” steel-cased bores, traffic control, erosion control, site restoration and all other necessary and appurtenant work required to complete the work as described in these specifications and detailed in the drawings. Additive Alternate #1 consists generally of furnishing and installing roughly 6,300 feet of 10” to 12” sewer pipe, 20 manholes, 18” to 24” steel-cased bores, traffic control, erosion control, site restoration and all other necessary and appurtenant work required to complete the work as described in these specifications and detailed in the drawings.
All Bidders must be licensed contractors to perform the type construction herein described, as required by Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 62, Chapter 6.
Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents may be examined and purchased from the Engineer, Fisher Arnold, Inc., 9180 Crestwyn Hills Drive, Memphis, Tennessee 38125 at a non-refundable cost of $50.00 per set.
A certified check or bank draft, payable to the City of Millington, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total of Bid, shall be submitted with each Bid. Submittal of a minimum of three (3) copies of the Bid response is required, one (1) original and two (2) copies.
Any Bidder, upon written request, will be given permission to withdraw his Proposal not later than the time set for opening. Bids accepted and read will remain effective for a period of sixty (60) days after the date and time set for the opening of such bid.
