Water Quality Report

Customers can now read the Millington 2016 Water Quality Report online at www.millingtontn.gov/wqr. Customers may pick up a paper copy at City Hall, the City Library, at Baker Community Center. Numerous tests are performed throughout the year to monitor components of Millington's water.

All community water systems are required to prepare and distribute an annual water quality report. Millington is proud to continue to provide excellent drinking water for its citizens. In addition to the Water Quality Report, a Sanitary Survey is conducted bi-annually by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC).

Millington received a score of 97 percent on a sanitary survey of its water system. This rating retains the Millington water system in the State's "APPROVED" category.

The Sanitary Survey is an on-site evaluation/audit of the total Operations and
Maintenance of a public water system by TDEC’s Division of Water Supply. The multiweek
survey inspects every aspect of Millington's water system including the complete
operations, maintenance and safety programs, records and documentation, water
treatment and water quality testing, engineering, as well as the equipment, facilities and
construction procedures.

The City attributes this high score to the Water Division’s employees’ hard work and
dedication to upholding high quality standards to provide safe drinking water for our
citizens.
